Fusion Arc Welding Systems: Pre-Engineered Robotic Weld Cells Built for Fast Deployment
Capital Machine offers its Fusion Arc Welding System, a proprietary line of pre-engineered robotic welding cells. Our Fusion Arcwelding system is designed to package a range of robotic manipulators, a variety of power sources, positioners, and safety systems into turnkey, ready-to-weld configurations.
The heart of the Fusion Arc weld is the common-base construction that allows for rapid on-site assembly without extensive welding or custom fabrication. This reduces installation time and helps move manufacturers into production faster than fully custom-engineered alternatives.
Our Fusion Arc Welding System is a solution for manufacturers that want the quality and consistency of robotic welding without the long lead times, high engineering costs, and integration risks of building a system from scratch using components from multiple vendors.
The Fusion Arc Welding System is fully backed by Capital Machine's full-service infrastructure. We provide installation supervision, operator training, programming support, and ongoing maintenance through our
43 factory-trained field service engineers across our 22-state territory. In addition, we have our own welding application specialists that guide you to the path of success.
Fusion Arc Product Lineup from Compact Entry-Level to Heavy-Duty Production Cells
Capital Machine offers a full product lineup of our Fusion Arc Welding System. We offer compact systems to large integrated cells
that cover all your arc welding needs. Our Fusion Arc “L” model offers extended work envelopes compared to the standard counterparts. This accommodates larger or longer workpieces without stepping up to a completely different cell platform.
Fusion Arc Welding System
-
Fusion Arc 100
A compact cell for smaller workpieces and entry-level robotic welding.
-
Fusion Arc 180 and Fusion Arc 180L
Mid-range cells with standard and large work envelope options. Open station options for larger parts.
-
Fusion Arc 200 and Fusion Arc 200L
Same side loading keeps the automation running for higher production volumes.
-
Fusion Arc 300
Best use of robotic arm envelope. Utilizes multiple stations for the high-mix/low-volume applications
We also offer our Opti-Cart, a unique offering, that features a mobile welding platform providing the flexibility to move the robotic welding process between workstations and production areas. This is an ideal welding method for shops with space constraints, evolving layouts, or multiple product lines.
All our Fusion Arc models integrate with dedicated welding manipulators from OTC Daihen & Yaskawa Motoman. We pair these up with application-specific power sources by OTC Daihen Welbee, Miller Welding Auto-Continuum power sources, and others. This ensures peak performance across the robot, arc control, and cell configuration.
Which Applications and Industries Fusion Arc Weld Cells Serve Best
Fusion Arc cells are ideal for metal inert gas (MIG) welding and gas metal arc welding (GMAW) of steel, stainless steel, and aluminum components with repeatable joint geometry. This includes brackets, frames, enclosures, structural assemblies, and formed metal parts with consistent fit up.
Fusion Arc weld cells work best for companies making brackets, chassis components, and subassemblies; heavy equipment and agricultural manufacturing that use structural weldments; ; electrical enclosures, fuel/hydraulic tanks, general job shops with the highest-volume repeatable welds; and construction and structural steel fabrication, which create connection plates and gussets.
Fusion Arc cells work great for welding parts with repeatable joint geometry, assemblies that require consistent fit up quality, and weld joints that are accessible to the robotic torch. Shops that have welding will find the Fusion Arc justifies the cost and potentially work much better than resistance welding, traditional MIG welding, and flux core welding as the automation makes the job easier. Post processing is also reduced, and many times completely eliminated from the parts using our Fusion Arc systems.
Capital Machine's regional industry expertise helps match the right Fusion Arc configuration to local manufacturing needs, such as Dallas, Texas for oil and gas, the Midwest for automotive and agricultural, and the Southeast for general fabrication.
Installation, Training, and Lifecycle Support for Your Fusion Arc System
Capital Machine offers full lifecycle support for your fusion welding system. We handle application review and cell specification, pre-install site survey, delivery and rapid installation, , operator and programmer training, and production ramp-up support. We also continue to be a source of programming assistance and fixuring aid if needed.
We offer comprehensive operator training that covers daily operation, program loading, part loading and unloading, and quality verification. Our programming training covers teach pendant operation, weld path creation, parameter optimization, and troubleshooting, with retraining available as staff turns over.
Capital Machine provides condition-based maintenance programs, application support for new part programs and weld procedures, break-fix service with parts-stocked trucks, and system upgrades and retrofits as production requirements evolve. We grow the system as your company grows.
We offer you our 40+ full-time, factory-trained field service engineers across our 22-state territory. We have no subcontractors. Our engineers have expertise in our Fusion Arc robotic systems, , welding knowledge, as well as real world expertise.
Request a Consultation on Fusion Arc Welding Systems
Every Fusion Arc engagement begins with Capital Machine understanding your specific shop's welding challenges, production goals, and facility constraints. We then recommend the right cell model, manipulator, and power source configuration. We invite all shop managers to visit our six technology centers to see our Fusion Arc weld cells in operation, discuss applications with technical staff, and evaluate system configurations firsthand under power. We are dealer, service provider, and value-added distributor that not only has the top-of-the-line machines for sale, but we also provide comprehensive services that keep equipment working.
