Advanced Beam Control for High-Speed and High-Quality Fiber Laser Cutting

The OPTIPLEX NEO is a 2D fiber laser-cutting system engineered to deliver high-speed processing of thin materials and high-quality cutting across medium and thick materials. Available in power levels ranging from 4kW to 20kW, the OPTIPLEX NEO provides manufacturers with the flexibility to select a configuration that matches their materials, production requirements, and future growth plans.

Mazak’s Variable Beam Mode technology automatically adjusts how the laser’s power density is distributed based on the material and thickness being processed. On 10kW, 15kW, and 20kW models, Beam Diameter Control provides an additional level of optimization by adjusting the beam diameter. Together, these technologies help improve cutting speed, edge quality, and processing stability across a broad range of applications.

Large sliding doors on the front and side of the machine provide generous access to the cutting area while minimizing the floor space required for door operation. This design gives operators more room to load raw material, unload finished parts, and access the machine during setup and production.

An integrated nozzle camera allows operators to check and adjust the nozzle’s center position directly from the control screen. Optional Camera Network Nesting can detect the available cutting area on remnant material and automatically create an optimized nesting layout, helping manufacturers improve material utilization and reduce scrap.

The MAZATROL SmoothLx CNC control features dual 21.5-inch touchscreen displays that allow operators to view the complete nesting layout while accessing machine instructions and other applications. Pictograms, one-touch access to cutting conditions, and built-in assist functions simplify common setup tasks, including nozzle-center checks and automatic nozzle changes.

The CNC control panel rotates and tilts, allowing operators to work comfortably from either the front or side of the machine. The OPTIPLEX NEO can also be integrated with Mazak automation solutions to reduce manual material handling and support extended or unattended production.
